Boys Bathroom

We had wanted to redo the boys bathroom, and after putting it off a few times, at one point we quickly coalesced on a design that included a tropical ocean water feel, a new dark gray vanity, and straight from Chip and Joanna—shiplap. After removing the old glued on mirror, I got started applying shiplap. I made pretty good progress through the project, but about half way up the wall, we realized water was coming out of our kitchen lights. I somehow had managed to hit not one, but two water lines with one nail. Thanks to my father-in-law for helping repair the water line in a pinch so we could get the project back on track.

I didn’t want to shiplap the whole bathroom, but wanted the main wall to incorporate shiplap, so I created a frame, and stopped a bit before the top so the blue paint color would carry through across the full room. We accented the look with sea inspired decorations and a canvas look fish shower curtain.
